Short-Sleeve Unisex T-Shirt
Skunk Cabbage? What is that? Well, I’m glad you asked. The Skunk Cabbage (Lysichiton americanus) is endemic to wet and swampy areas throughout the Pacific Northwest of North America. It has large green leaves and a bright yellow flower. When in bloom, you can smell the fragrant skunky smell of the flower from quite a distance. The smell is used to attract pollinating insects and deter hikers from wanting to pick it and take it home to place in a vase.
The next time you’re hiking on the coast and smell something skunky, you might be in for a lovely view of the Western Skunk Cabbage. If you thought ahead and wore your skunk cabbage shirt, you will be in the perfect position to take an amazing instagram photo. (Tag #subalpinetees) while you’re at it, if you have cell signal of course.
This shirt will make you life of any party… as long as it’s in a swamp. Enjoy!
